Great news for those dreaming of studying in Australia! From May 5, 2024, the Australian government has resumed accepting TOEFL iBT scores for all visa applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students who have been preparing with TOEFL to showcase their English proficiency when applying for Australian visas.
If you’ve taken the TOEFL iBT test from May 5, 2024, onwards, you can now submit your scores as part of your Australian visa application.
This change comes after a temporary suspension due to updates in the test format introduced by ETS (Educational Testing Service). However, scores from tests taken between July 26, 2023, and May 4, 2024, will not be valid for visa purposes but remain acceptable for academic admissions.
TOEFL iBT, conducted by ETS, is one of the most widely accepted English language tests globally. It’s recognized by all Australian universities and over 12,500 institutions worldwide across 160 countries, including the USA, Canada, the UK, and New Zealand.
Australia continues to be a preferred destination for students, with nine universities ranked among the top 100 globally. The TOEFL iBT test now takes less than two hours to complete, thanks to recent improvements, making it a more convenient option for test-takers.
So, if you’ve been preparing for the TOEFL or considering it, now is the perfect time to take the test and pursue your dreams in Australia. Good luck with your studies and visa applications!
